Koine Greek Blogs
I was out checking Technorati Tags and Google Blog Search to see if anyone else is looking at NT Greek in their blogs. I came across Koine Greek Geek, a relatively new blog that someone has put up to chronicle their own study of NT Greek. The author of that blog has just posted here with frustration that Blogger’s text editor doesn’t include the Symbol font and that she was going to have to code the Greek letter by letter.
I experimented for a while to find alternatives. I have posted two options for her, then I went and edited my template to choose a font that has better rendering of the Greek characters. In one of my comments, I pasted in this verse, to see if she can identify it:
Can anyone else identify it? Will anyone ever even see this post?
In a few days, I will identify the verse.

BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Good guess. You have selected 1 John 3:1. This is the verse that you have quoted:

It didn’t display properly in the comments, but it displayed properly on your main page; I’ll see what I can do about getting a verse or two up shortly.
